I did this and got the following:

[solovay@localhost Opera]$ ldd opera
ldd: can't execute opera (No such file or directory)

As I've previously mentioned, ls -l shows that the file opera is there and
executable:

[solovay@localhost Opera]$ ls -l opera
-rwxr-xr-x   1 solovay  solovay   5535524 Mar 30 06:51 opera

        Still mystified.
