no, all I have is a box that I need to trade for a laptop in the next few
days. it is a nice box. the entity that lives in there is nice and will
like to be with someone that loves it. I can install Linux or leave the
machine blank, I don't care. I do know that my box needs a home to be in
where it can be happy and safe.
what I need is a laptop. I am traveling this summer and I will need access
to the net as I go. I can just see me bringing in the box, and monitor, and
modem and keyboard and... just to connect to the net while visiting for a
day or two.
anything that runs Linux will do. really. I have (as always) an external
modem and don't need color or anything, just something that will travel well
and run an off-line mail reader.
Clarion 400 Mhz (not overclocked)
128 Megs of RAM
8 gig WD HD
14" monitor
32 meg video card
a Creative sound card called something like "live!" or somesuch gibberish
an old 486 case with a 30 amp, +5 volt supply...
and a CD reader.
this computer needs a good home and I can't think of any better than with
the people found here. they, all of them I am sure, will give it the love
that it deserves...
