That's freaky.  I run sendmail on the box I'm on now, and have had no problems
with it.  They also said that the techie was happy to have the owner install it
himself, which I don't think you could pull off here.

I think that, for some reason, each area (town?) is responsible for setting up
their own policies.

I still wonder what they call a "server", though, but I guess they would call
anything that runs the basic net service daemons (ftp, www, telnetd, mail, news) a
"server".  From the desktop market, that makes sense, but from the un*x world,
it's a little silly.
