This Saturday, thanks to the fact that the Filbert Festival will be
happening, I will be hosting a fireworks watching party.
All euglug regulars are welcome to attend. I will also be inviting
co-workers to attend, so it's not just a linux thing.
Food: this is a bring it yourself party. This means bring enough to
feed yourself, plus 1 (give or take some). We will have a barbeque grill
or 2, and a cooler, and a freezer. Don't feel pressured to bring tons,
just something.
Fireworks start at 9pm, about 1/2 hour long. Parking will be difficult,
given the festival. Biking is possible, as I live right near the end of
the bike path. Bus is an option too. (at least to get here, dunno about
leaving)
Gaming: We will have tables, and lights. We will try to play Cosmic
Encounter, Fluxx, and who knows what else.... these are NON-computer
games... and much fun. The Saturday gaming nights are much fun, and very
social times.
Wives, girlfriends, and other significant others are welcome, if they can
stand the slight level of geekness. Little kids might be a problem in the
long run. They are welcome for the fireworks. Adult supervision is
_your_ responsibilty... I have riverfront property, which means they MUST
be watched closely. I also have no space for kids to sleep or play
inside... 1 bathroom... you get the idea.
