Neil also was using a command that showed wheither the drivers
were loading properly.  At the time, they weren't.  I haven't
been able to figure out that command to see if anything has
changed since the changes he made.

I don't know what page Neil recommended, but here is a page of
info for Slackware 7.0 (2.2.16 kernel) and the es1371 card.
