This is a problem with mandrake 7.0 and 7.1 .There was a discussion of
it on the mailing list a few weeks ago and how to diagnose the offending
programs if it is a bad program.
try doing a ps -aux as user and as root looking for programs that
shouldn't be running.
Also are there any deamons that are running that can be turned off.
Has anyone tried mandrake 7.0 or 7.1 without either slowdown on the
internet or at other times? Has anybody installed 7.0 or 7.1 with
either high or low security options?
If so do you have problems with system slowdowns?
