Every time you set Netscape's preference to "Do not send or accept
cookies", it erases all your old cookies. So just set that preference
item.

If that's not good enough, you can delete the file ~/.netscape/cookies.

Since more and more web sites are broken without cookies, I do this:

        * Use kfm for most browsing, with cookies disabled.

        * Enable cookies from the same domain in Netscape's
          preferences.

        * Make the cookies file read-only. This means that Netscape
can only save its cookies for a single session. Sites can
track me all they want in a single session, and as soon as
I quit Netscape, I assume a new identity.

For sites that I trust and log in to often, I'll make the cookie
file writable just long enough to get that site's cookie, then quit
Netscape and make the cookie file read-only again.

The cookie file is just a text file. You can change its read-only
status from kfm's Properties dialog.

        Open your home directory.
Select View menu -> Show Hidden Files.
        Open the .netscape directory.
        Right-click cookies, select Properties.
        Click permissions.
Select or deselect the User Write checkbox.
        OK.

Also, note that cookies is a text file. If you just click it, kfm will
launch kedit and you can see what cookies are in there.
