I just downloaded Jabber too. Except I used apt-get install jabber. It took 3
minutes and was installed and put on the gnome menu's. Apt-get told me I
needed some package dependency it installed them with Jabber. Now I have to
get all my friends ICQ #'s put in and then I will see it it works for me. I
liked the registering process very well done. It would have been nice if you
can import your ICQ#'s . I haven't got that far into Jabber yet. Looks good so
far.
