Yes, she did.  I think it's because of the cute little daemon mascot--
 sorta fits her personality.  What happened was this-- the machine 
has 2 hard drives and she wanted some flavor of *nix (all those cool 
*nix games and the Gimp, ya know).  I gave her the choice 
between FreeBSD and Linux, and she picked BSD.

She's 12, and the most they teach in her schoolyard is how to 
point and click with ClarisWorst.  I think she might have some 
problems with the teachers who do computer stuff when she starts 
taking the classes.

I can see her first question-- "Where's vi?"
