Hi Bob,

The software I was using is called named. Yes, this is your DNS daemon.
You must have your own dns server installed, (and must be using it). You
then look for your named.conf file (debian has it in /etc/bind/named.conf).
In the file there is a block titled 'zone "localhost"'. By making a
duplicate of this block, and changing one of the copies from 'zone
"localhost"' to 'zone "doubleclick.net"' this makes your DNS server the
master for doubleclick.net.  The blocks are denoted by {} and ;

Anytime a web page tries to load doubleclick.net, a broken picture appears.
I know these are quick directions, but let me know if you (anyone) need
help. Make sure to put 'nameserver 127.0.0.1' in the top line of your
/etc/resolv.conf after installing your own name server.

Cory

Cory, which ad blocking software are you using? I set up Internet
Junkbuster on my home machine a few months ago, and I love it. I used
the Waldherr.de version.

Haven't set it up on my laptop yet...
