I was just wondering if his connection is 100baseT or 10baseT or
what kind. You know, is it fast enough to matter and does he
care?

Besides our internet bandwidth is 24kb/sec(192) and 7kb/sec
(56k).

How much internet bandwidth do YOU have? 32kb/sec (256k) and
7kb/sec (56k)? And you're concerned that dragonsinger's
upperlimit of 1.25mb/sec isn't fast enough?

He'll be limited by the servers he's connecting to. I've only
found a few servers that could put out more than my cable line
could handle. One in particular was sun, another was from places
like tuscows.com.
