Actually, if you read the web page that was just sent out, they include another option 
that I missed in the man page:

-c3

This turns on 32-bit with sync.  I was able to squeeze another 4-5mb/sec out of my 
cache.  I seem to have hit the limit on my harddrive at 16.45, but with this on I hit 
it every time.
