At the user's group, there were about 20 people.

There were 3 computers being worked on.

Ken, with his unique case with the handle on it, is trying to learn Linux.
There was a couple of us who helped him.

Dexter, who's on the mailing list, made it to the group. It was great meeting
him. Welcome Dexter.

Ralph was telling me about a program he's using called htDig. It sounded like
it is a search engine for your hard drive. It goes into every file and
catagorizes it. Check it out at http://www.htdig.org. Look in FAQ for more
information. Maybe we can talk Ralph into showing us how to use it.

Apparently it sounded from Timothy's e-mail like some of you talked with him
about BSD. I wouldn't mind learning how to install and use BSD. It's free
and its open source.

Darren was working on his system.

Stan was working alone in the store. He has the new KDE and it's funny how
it's looking a lot like GNOME. When I left him, he was trying to get a win
modem running.

The new Kernel 2.4 should be out soon. The new Kernel sounds really great. I
wonder how long after it is released that it will be in a major distribution.

See you Thursday
Tim
