Edit /etc/lilo.conf.  Put this at the bottom of the file.

other=/dev/hda1
        label=pane98
        table=/dev/hda

That assumes you have an IDE disk and lossDOS is on its first
partition.  Otherwise, see the lilo.conf man page.

Then run lilo.

        # lilo
        Added linux *
        Added pane98
        # 

Reboot.  At the lilo prompt, type "pane98".  If you can't remember
what to type, type <TAB> and lilo will list your choices.
