Thursday's meeting December 21, 2000 At the user's group, there were about 18 people. There were 3 computers being worked on. Seth brought some Jolt cola and some pie's to the meeting. I think his idea was to keep up all night with a caffeine and sugar rush. Thank you Seth. Seth informed me there he posted an e-mail about an ascii tv tuner program http://n00n.free.fr/aatv/ - Ascii tv tuner - I have a Dorio (dumb terminal) attached to my linux box through a null modem cable. Now I can watch Ascii TV on it. Stan had a bunch of wyse and adds dumb terms he was giving to the group. So if your one of the fortunate few who have one of them and have a TV tuner card you too can watch Ascii TV. This would be fun to have on watching the soaps in ascii at work. The amazing things Linux can do. I'm going to have fun!! Joe said if there were any terminals left he was going to pick one up. Well there was. He's trying to get away from the whiring fan noises. I must agree the fan noises are quiet annoying. Randolph was in working with one of Stan's machines. He came over and we talked about energy. Since energy is what powers our computers. It would be rough if some of couldn't use our computers because of a brown out or a black out. The meeting ended early since it was the holiday season. See you at the meeting Tim
