My laptop is an Mtech20u

Also look at
www.eportables.com
for a similar laptop, and other used and generic laptops.

For specs and pictures, you can look at:
sceptre.com
armcomputer.com
usasunrex.com

All manufacture/sell the same brand of laptop, but you'll get the best price through
discountpcsales/Mtech.

I have had good sucess with all hardware components. I have not tried the pcmcia,
modem, usb or firewire ports. It has a built in Nic, sound, modem. The nic and sound
are all I use. X4 works beautifully with the display. I can switch between 4 video
modes very quickly. APM works well under linux. After seeing bob's presentation on
linux on laptops, I reboot it maybe once a week, just putting it in sleep mode.

ARM computer says this and all their laptops are linux certified, so I'm assuming the
modem/usb/pcmcia will work.
Mtech gets this laptop from both ARM and American Sunrex.

Here is another site with the same laptop. Notice they are marketing linux:

I got the 'ultrabase' with it (portable docking station). I don't think it works, but
I haven't needed it. I recommend saving your money ($125-165).

13.3" TFT, 4lbs, 3 hour battery, p3-750 (up to 850 now), 320mb memory, 20gb hd,
10/100, sound, 56k, pcmcia, 8mb video, 8xDVD. $2485 several months ago. They have
snazzier ones now, far superior to anything you can get at a namebrand, and far
cheaper.
I even saw some 1Ghz laptops!
