I have attempted on Mandrake 7.1 to no avail.  I think that we get the
same 'unable to mount root' error each time.  quite annoying!  

p.s. I looked at the debian/reiserfs install page, and it scares me ;-)
That might be a fun 'clinic' activity.  I don't know if I have
time/ambition to take that one on.
