Thanks to all who responded re the 68K vs PPC question on your new Mac. I had Linux
installed on a NuBus 68K box >= 3 years ago.
Worked well but was command line only. That is probably no longer true. Doesn't Debian
have a 68K distro? There must be others.

One thing about 68K boxes is that the 68K is better suited to Unix than the Intel
architecture (all else being equal). With X
Window, a 68K box might well surprise.

Just my 2 cents.

Dennis

P.S. -- I have an AUI for Macs that don't have a conventional full RJ45 style
connector. You can have it if you need it. Also, I
purchased the wrong size 19" rack for an older Belkin OmniView monitor/keyboard/mouse
switcher. At $10, it's not worth sending
back. The Belkin P/N is F1D103 (OmniView SE Rackmount Kit) and it works with F1D102,
F1D104, and F1D104-OSD switchers only. If
anyone can use it, its yours gratis. Drop me a note off list.
