[EUG-LUG:411] gnome and scripting

I use gnome and would like to write a script which starts wvdial, kmail and
netscape.  I've done this before, but is there a way to specify what virtual
desktop they would go in?  Is there a way to do this?  I want to just click one
icon and the script log's me in on my ISP and starts kmail and netscape in
different windows.   Right now I have to click three icons in each window I
want them to open.
