I guess it's silly to call it wavelan or airport or even 802.11b
maybe 900MHz and 2.4 GHz are better. Any way, there's been a good
amount of chatter on the Eugene LUG's list about getting commnuity-
wide wireless networking going... it seems the hardware and network
are more available than ever, but also that the dinky antennae that
ship with are a bottleneck. Now I'm not even a radio buff but have
picked up much info over my years, and I think that we could put on
a day-event/gathering where interested folks can bring some money
(or pre-arranged materials!!) and come home with a dandy part of
our community network : )

PVC, good wire, mounting hardware, tools,
uhh - what else do we need?

thanx every body!

PS == if you didn't follow this message at all, I appologize;
I've been geeking out! It's wonderful though, and it's all
about free (sharing) network access, which is a great way to
get people communicating more and more...

Finally, I (this text) would be delighted to be included, in whole or in
part, in your next discussion of self-reference. With that in mind,
please allow me to appologize in advance for infecting you.
