smbclient & smbmount from command line.....

smbclient -L "name or ip addy" lists shares & resources on remote box

smbmount //share/resource /mount/point mounts resource to local

gui's:

ksamba, knetmon, kwin, kexplorer, konqueror, kruiser & xwc can look and 
mount, etc.

There's a few for gnome, but for the life of me I can't remember app names.

There's a couple of winpopup clients, like linpopup that interface with 
windoze faily well.
