OK, so define 'truth'. Socrates couldn't do it, and I bet you can't either.

I thought 'liberal' meant 'open to interpretation and new ideas', much like
open source. And I thought conservative meant 'keeping up the status quo',
much like Micro$oft.

What, you don't like flowers? You prefer concrete?

Descrimination happens everywhere. If you understood your history books (what's
left after conservatives censored them), the only reason African-Americans were
'welcome' in the North was because they were a cheap source of labor. Capital-
ism is really slavery. You do realize that 2% of this country's population
controls more than 90% of this country's resources, don't you?

Surely you're not talking about LTD. Have you ever ridden an LTD bus? Do you
think we need /more/ cars in Eugene?

Yes, I wrote that, but not at 1:53 PM 2/26/2001

Furthermore, I hardly consider Eugene's government liberal. I mean, really,
Jim Torrey a liberal? Give me a break! Yeah, they may
talk pseudo-liberal, to pander to the many pseudo-hippie-but-really-yuppie
people in Eugene. You know, the type that go to Saturday Market and pay
outrageous prices for crafts and clothing they could make themselves. (A
real hipppie-liberal would quit his job and sit at home with his friends
and family and make everything they need, and do it with as little commercial
product as possible. Much like an open source programmer :)) The reason
the government of Eugene spends money on things like bricks for the mall is
they're afraid they'll get sued if they do anything but the mundane.
That's why there's no cross on Skinner's Butte.
That's why Christmas trees are banned in public work places.
