I had a Sun Ultra 5/10 on my desk last year, and it convinced
me to stay far away from low end Sun hardware.
I don't know anything about the Sunblade 100, but you could build a
nice Duron box for $1,000 and run Linux, BSD, or even Solaris on it.
I doubt the Sunblade would be as fast or as featureful.
Unless you need to run some software that's only available for
SPARC...
