Hello,

When Stan built my tower 11/99, he installed Mandrake on a Samsung
6 gig hard drive. May 2000, I put Mandrake 7.0 on over the previous
version. Somehow Mandrake became compromised and needs to be
reinstalled.

I'd like to buy another hard drive, install Mandrake, then copy my
data files (mostly email and other text files), then wipe the
original hard drive and start over. I think this is the quickest
way to save my data files.

I've got the Cyrix 333 chip, 262 Mhz, and 64 meg of RAM.

Various options. New chip? I don't know, if this will work for
now, do I need a better one?

Maybe I can get some more RAM while I'm at it, if the price is still
good, last I heard about $30 for 32 meg?

Can anyone tell me where I might get the best deal on a hard drive
in Eugene, tonight? I'd like to keep it under $200.00. Thanks.

BTW, is there a EUGLUG meeting tonight at the usual place?
