Hm, just 550 Access Denied, nothing more? Offhand, that sounds like tcpd,
but i can't find your domain or your MX in our hosts.deny. Do you relay
thru a smarthost, or do you do direct-to-MX from your local mail daemon?
What is the IP address of the host your mail comes to efn from? What happens
when you telnet clavin.efn.org 25 and try to do smtp by hand(see Dan Bernstein's
resources at http://cr.yp.to/smtp.html )?
