As a virtual osug member and a 'longtime' member of
eug-lug, this idea seems perfect. otoh, I have not been
very involved in regular eug-lug events... but that is b/c
I tend to be wrapped up with campus. Exactly why campus
would be a great spot! There are a lot of folks I've met
from other departments who are also looking to try a new
OS (the OSUG club is CS-based), and the facilities are
worthwhile -- consider Internet^2. This bandwidth is
Real Nice. Heated, lighted rooms in well-known places,
with restrooms and many configurations for networking,
especially if we are within range for wavelan! Two
considerations: Rooms that meet our needs may not be
available in time; and campus might be too removed from
the community at large to serve eug-lug(?? rsvp)
