I thought this one was a joke at first:

http://www.redmondlinux.org

of course the guy who's doing it worked at McSoft for years,
my suspicion is that his business plan is one known to work,
which is to say, generate a lot of press and get aquired by
bill & co.

http://progeny.com

this one looks like a winner if you have a fast cpu
anybody want to try it at this weeks clinic?

and finally:
http://alfs.linuxfromscratch.org/intro

which uses XML files to hold a system profile showing what goes where as
it automatically installs a preconfigured build-from-source linux system,
this looks like it would be a very handy tool if you were dealing with a
large number of systems with similar but nt identical needs. Or if you
were running an entreprise wide configuration database, i could even see
it being used for one of those blue-sky your-config-follows you around
taking over the computers near you sort of scenario.
It allows you to tweak all sorts of things, including where and how each
program is installed.

something to chew on.
