Being that it's going to be at the university, I can bring my
workstation.

Being that I can bring my workstation, I've got a samba server on it
that I use as an installation server, StarOffice, WordPerfect 8,
vmware, Gimp, etc. It's also got kde and gnome, but I really use
Windowmaker. I'm thinking of putting marsnwe on it, also.

I work at the university, and have a bunch of hubs. I would assume
there are public ethernet jacks in the Fir room; I can find out
tomorrow.
If I put this on the departmental mailing list at the university, you
should end up with quite a few university staff bringing stuff in.
