Well, people don't have to log in to view a web site (excluding htaccess, yeah,
yeah....) so it's not really a precise thing at all. Usually what you do is track
sessions... which IP address pulled up a series of pages. The problem with current
states is, you don't know if somebody just loaded the last
page that they will look at, since there's no way to log out or to tell the server
that you're done. Even stats programs, like the almighty webalizer have to guess a
bit to figure out the user's intentions...
