What's the name of the file you downloaded? xxxx.tgz or xxx.tar.gz? unpackage with: tar xfz xxx.tgz maybe it's something like flash-blah.bin or xxx.run or cool-flash-program Then it's probably executable itself in which case run this: chmod +x filename ./filename This should be done in the directory the file is in, at a console prompt. Use 'ls' to see what files are in your current directory, and 'cd' will change directories. >From the description, it's probably the first one, that will automatically make a >directory called flash_linux. Then you can use their 'cp' command. Replace $HOME >with the user directory (/home/prime), in case you are not logged in with that user.
