This is only to spare some of you who may not know prices and pieces....
Ron LeVine is offering parts and I can only be honest as to their fair market
value...
1) 1 - Abit BP-6 Motherboard with (2) Celeron 366's. This is the
over-clockers dream board.
$150.00 ---- Sounds good
2) 4 - 128 Mb PC133 Ram
$50.00 each --- only if they're high quality are they worth this
3) 1 - 256 Mb PC133 Ram --- the cheap stuff can be had under a $100
4) 1 - Voodoo 3/3000 16Mb Video card.
$50.00 --- if it's AGP..yes
5) 1 - 20Gb Seagate Drive (2 months old)
$150.00 --- only 20Gb for $150??? kidding right? Is it 7200 RPM?
If it were 7200 RPM I'd consider $100 but nothing more
6) 1 - 8Gb Seagate Drive (2 months old) --- Hard to find these small
ones..I'd say about $60 so $50 is a deal
$50.00
7) 1 - 52x cdrom (2 months old)
$30.00 ---fair if of a quality name brand
8) 1 - Creative CDRW 8x4x32 (4 months old)
$200.00 ---NEVER!!! I'd consider paying $200 for a brand new
Plextor 12x10x32 but not more than $125 for the Creative 8x4. Granted I did
pay $300 for my Creative 8x4 18 months ago... it's just not worth that much
anymore. I'd try to ask for $140 for mine but would never expect it...
especailly from all y'all. :-)
9) 1 - Zip100 drive (4 months old)
$50.00 --- internal or external? Internal - $40 -$50... External
--$50 is a deal whether serial or USB.
10) Mandrake 7.1 cd's - Free ---or any other distro you're interested in,
just let me know. I download and burn for the heck of it.
11) Turbo Linux 6.0 cd's - free
12) 4-port Paralell switch
$10.00 --umm, if you need it, sure
13) 2-port video switch
$10.00 --same as above
14) Optical mouse
$25.00 --who makes it? That counts!! Very few are as reliable as
Logitech and sad to say, Micro$oft
15) Diamond sound card
$15.00 (2 months old) --as long as it works in Linux!! Don't
expect future Windoze support other than generic drivers.
There you are. Brutal honesty. Sorry if I've offended any parties in these
actions.
