Hi all,
It's time for you to contribute a bit of time to publicising the
Linux Demo day. It's easy it's fun and it'll only take a little bit of
effort on your part.
Below is a list of radio stations nd their phone numbers.
call at least one, ask for the News Director, explain that you're a EUGLUG
member and that you listen to their radio station and that you KNOW that
their audience would be interested in finding out about
Linux. And for them to please mention it Thurs. Friday and Sat. morning.
Information follows the list of radio stations. This will be most
effective if several different people call each radio station.

Eugene Linux Users Group
presents
Linux Demo Day
Saturday June 23rd, 2001 11am - 3pm
AT
ComSource Associates
747 Willamette
The Eugene Linux Users Group presents a Linux Demo Day as part of it's
ongoing mission of education and advocacy of the open source Linux
Operating System. Experienced Linux users will be demonstrating the
power and versatility of open source software.
Grassroots computing!
Linux is a free operating system for which the source code is freely
available and which you are free to alter and redistribute under the
terms of the Gnu Public License. It is written and maintained by an
international team of volunteers over the internet. It represents a
new model of software development and is one of the few alternatives
available to commercial operating systems.
The Eugene Linux Users Group (EUGLUG) will be demonstrating many of
the features of linux and of various software applications that run on
top of it. Among computing professionals Linux is often considered to
be a stable 'industrial strength' operating system, in Eugene it is
used for various server applications and for workstation and desktop
computers by individuals from all walks of life.
