My thoughts;

I liked the clean office enviroment. It was very nice to have a monitor
projector. I like the idea that one could show what they have been working on
without all of us hudling around a monitor. This would work out well if we
could use it. We could have weekly topics or cool things we've learned.
Christopher said he would do a VI presentation. Personally I would like this.
I would like to demonstrate some of the cool gnome configuration things I've
done. It could be like a weekly learning session. I know Larry talks about
python and I would like to see some things it could do.

On the minus side I came in from one olive street entrace and couldn't figure
out how to get in so I walked around and saw some other eugluggers who told me
how the lock worked. A nice sign would be nice on both entrances when we
meet. And the Trek up the stairs / Elevator with equipment. That isn't a big
concern if you brought your box you might need help.

I would like Mike, Seth Paul and some of the other's to see what it's like.
I'm sure they will. Overall I like it. I think it would be a good move. I
like Stan's shop but things change.

Mike will like this... The Wild Duck is right next door.

My main concern is if we have some of big meetings like last year where the was
standing room only. I guess we will have to deal with that when it comes up.

I've notice less people showing up for the weekly meetings. I don't know if
it's summer or the good shows on TV on thursday nights. All I have to say is
one word "TIVO". I think it takes a commitment to meet every week. I know
I see the same people every week. Why? Linux... I get charged up, I know I
sit on my linux box and learn, but I like the way each one of you show me
something new. I remember when Mike and Seth, Ralph and Randolph were showing
me how to work on something and now I'm able to help others. I would like to
thank you all. I would like to see more new linux users which we can Foster or
Mentor. A good thing is posting to the list but another is actually talking
them through a problem on the phone. Why? So they won't become disenchanted
and go back to windows. I know a couple of people who have posed their
problems. and were'nt happy with what the results were. I think the main
thing is plodding along with Linux in doing so one learns. Because if we don't
assist someone we know what happens they'll use windows. Then one company will
own the computer world. One way we could new people is to post something at the
Library and LCC about the weekly clinics.

It was really great to see Bob living here now and is able to attend the
meetings. :-)

I would like to thank Christopher for working on allowing us to meet at Premier
Link. I think it's great Premier link is giving back to the community. A
free community....

Tim
