Hi all, I have a problem with K-mail. I subscribe to an email list called <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> On Thursday, July 12, I did not check my email. Friday was a busy day and so it was Saturday when I checked. I received almost 4000 copies of this broken message. The last iteration was sent with this date: Received: (qmail 26673 invoked by uid 0); 14 Jul 2001 04:06:49 -0000 I put off doing anything until tonight because I have been busy and didn't know how to fix this. Thursday evening, I got online and when I followed the usual steps to get K-mail to Get New Mail, it worked and delivered all 4014 messages. Then, I tried to Check Mail, it proceded to que up the very same 4014 messages, the earliest from July 8. The connection bombed out after 24 messages and when i got back on line, the program failed to respond. It does that: plays dead. The only remedy I know is to reboot. Early this evening I thought I might come to the Linux Users Group meeting and see if someone could help me figure out how to fix this mess. Instead, I dedcided to try downloading my mail and see what happened. Well, that's what happened. I went to the Qwest website and I don't see any help. Dear Valued Customer, Your Qwest.net email box has exceeded 15 megabytes in size. In order to provide the highest quality service, email boxes are limited to 15 megabytes and a warning e-mail was sent to you when your e-mail box exceeded 10 MB. Until you download your mail from the server your account will be unable to receive new mail. �Instructions on how to download and remove the email from the server are located at: http://www.qwest.net/nav4/help/your_acct/quota_warning.html� I can't use Netscape Messenger ot get my mail because it won't accept a user name. "Netscape is unable to use the mail server because you have not provided a username. Please provide one in the preferences and try again." And again, and again, and again. Edit, Preferences, Identity. I filled out the blanks. No go. Nothing works and I'm sick of this stuff. People have told me on the telephone that email sent to my address bounces. Mail Box full.
