Hi, eug-luggers. I thought some of you might be interested in these unique portable computers. They aren't fast or pretty, but they are rugged. -Chris ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 00:40:22 -0500 From: Rubix <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: I have a bunch of itronix laptops for sale... Resent-Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 01:32:31 -0400 Resent-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi ladies and gentlemen, I've been off the list for a while mainly because of school, and that this summer has been very busy hasn't helped me in the least. But anyway, to the subject point, I got a lot of Itronix T5000 and T5000EFP mini computers, and am selling them off. The T5000 series are older and none of them boot, they come up with bios errors and such and I'm selling them off for $10.00 USD/each (plus S/H)with power adapters and batteries, and I have 20 available. Basically they are for scavenging parts off of. If you happen to want the whole lot of T5000's + power adapters I'll sell 20 of them for $125.+ SH. I have about 15 of the T5000EFP series, they are smaller and sleeker, and well, look cooler. All of the 15 boot to a Dos 5.00prompt and have interserver onboard for transferring stuff to them. They have a serial port, a PCMCIA (single type II) port, a nine pin barcode port (presumably proprietary but I don't know), an onboard 2400 bps modem, and a six volt battery. All 15 boot and are used but in good condition, and include a battery that holds a charge (no guarantees on length). I am selling them, with power adapter and battery, for $25.00 USD each. They will run basic for dos, and I've heard karl lunt uses his to run X10 firecracker on his home to control lights/fans and such. These computers are all (were, I should say) intended for use by telephone linemen and they are all very beefy. They have 386 processors under the hood and 640k of ram. They run basic fine (but you will have to load it on the unit with a laplink cable yourself), and I have used mine to run a scott martin SSCII to control servos. They have a very nice backlit display that runs at 240x128, 640x 200 or 480x200. They all have dos 5 preloaded. They can take PCMCIA memory cards (eeprom cards) for programs, and they by default take sundisk cards, but will take others. Since I have been asked, they don't have touch screens, sorry, but they do have really cool GITD keyboards and have handicap (sticky shift) that you can enable for true one handed typing. I have some test leads available too, and will try to get pics up soon (would have pics already but win2k doesn't like quickcams...::scowls::) As for linkage, Here is a picture of the T5000EFP unit http://www.stratos.com/cs9.htm Here is itronix company's website: Www.itronix.com Here is karl lunt's T5000 website: http://www.seanet.com/~karllunt/t5000.htm Email me to reserve one, I do take paypal, cashiers checks and money orders, as well as personal checks (but they have to clear before I ship). -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org please, Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/false domain
