I was just trying to get the mysql up and running. I was trying to setup the database for php. I think debian does a lot of configuration for php. I read the online doc's and did what Jacob suggested with no luck. I won't have time tonight to play with it but I will tomorrow. I hope to resolve this. I wanted to try out phpnuke it's a php website you can download at http://www.phpnuke.org debianplantet http://www.debianplanet.org/debianplanet/ uses phpnuke. It looks very nice and it uses php , mysql & apache. You can configue it to what you want it to look like. With sites like these it could make someone look pretty good. PHP being open source is even better. It show the power of open source. Thanks Tim & Jacob.
