Let's see. My FreeBSD box tells me:
xl0 : 3Com 3c905-TX Fast Etherlink XL
rl0 : RealTek 8139 10/100BaseTX
I guess I'm in need of a 10/100 card. I think I recall that the
RealTek mentioned above was real cheap. The actual card part of it is
a little bigger than a stick of gum. I was surprised when I saw it
the first time.
But Linux doesn't report any connection type or speed that I can see.
