The Electronic Frontier Foundation has declared partial success in
that Adobe has ineffectually withdrawn support for the incarceration of
Dmitry Sklyarov.
Of course it's ineffectual, because the Department of Justice, now
that Adobe's launched a criminal prosecution, has chosen to keep Dmitry in
the slammer. Isn't that special?
So while the boycott of Adobe has become superfluous (although
there's no reason not to boycott, they still think the DMCA is a good
idea), the effort to Free Dmitry continues. Should we consider an
occasional demonstration in Eugene?
The Portland site (http://www.paultopia.net/adobe/) has nothing
scheduled beyond last Wednesday (7/25).
