Installing linux via ftp is great! Obviously if it can be frustrating if the nic won't load. You said it was a realtek 8029? IS that a pci card? I have a realtek 8029 chipset nic that is an ISA card. In order for me to get it to work I have to use the ne module, *not* the ne2k-pci module. Which is it, isa or pci? -----Original Message----- From: Sam Crow [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2001 4:22 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [EUG-LUG:1978] ne2k-pci parameters (again) This thing is driving me crazy... although it's a pretty short trip so no biggie... I'm still on this SuSE 7.2 ftp install idea, dumb or other wise, and as I stated before, I have tried loading the ne2k-pci module over and over and over again, using no parameters, or inputing card specific data as parameters, such as irq=5, io=0xe400, etc etc. Nothing seems to work, it won't load the module period. Has anyone tried this before, or encountered something similar? Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Sam _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
