It turned out that Apache::ASP so-called is highly nonstandard: you use Perl
instead of VBScript for scripting your ASP pages.
PHP is slower than ASP pages, I am told. Comments?
If I remember correctly, HTML::EmbPerl, while interesting, takes me far away
from ASP.
Again, I am told that Perl is a lot slower than VBScript. Comments?
I don't want to get into a protracted discussion of the relative merits of
ASP, PHP, VBScript, Perl, et cetera. I want to write bona fide ASP pages
using VBScript (people PAY for this :) and am seeking a server solution
(like Chili!Soft) that is far cheaper than anything Microsoft sells. I am
wondering if anyone in EUG/LUG has experience with Chili!Soft.
Thanks for the reply, Rob.
