Might I suggest [EMAIL PROTECTED], the wearable-computing mailing
started by some MIT folks??  Or any other number (slew) of EXISTING
usenet groups, mailing lists, etc that already serve these purposes...
I think you might find many many more questions answered, or even get
pointed to existing solutions, if you network more with (granted,
NON-local) groups with similar interests.

but it seems the search is broken on eyetap??
