Yes, people shouldn't have trusted that CS student from Helsinki either. Balancing trust and security is something that needs to be evaluated on a case by case, individual basis. Filters can lead one to believe that something is "safe", without thinking about the situation. Maybe for some, that is OK, but I follow the above sentence. (Wasn't sourceforge cracked and file Trojaned a while back?) The idea is to let anyone share with everyone, not "those who have submitted and been approved may share with those who use this service." Granted, using filters could be safer, but you'll probably miss a lot of good stuff also.
