I'm trying to make a system auto-answer and use the Auto-PPP, as
documented (in various places) but the dern thing doesn't seem to work.
I've regarded:
www.leo.org/~doering/mgetty/mgetty_16.html
and
www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO-12.html
and also the ISP-Hookup-HOWTO-2
for the calling end's details...
None of these sources seemed to conflict with each other in explanation
or config details,
but alas, I'm simply stumped, and hoping that maybe someone in the group
has some experience or has at least heard of the common oversight when
setting this up.
I have mgetty starting from inittab, with options per my spec -- also
checked the options in the /etc config file... 'hope someone has a clue...
