Sure. Create a second line in /etc/passwd for another user with UID
0. Give it a different group ID and home directory, though...
root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
justin:x:0:1000:Justin Bengtson:/home/justin:/bin/bash
(other entries...)
You will see "your" files owned by root. You will occasionally
accidentally destroy your installation. Some programs will still warn
you not to log in as root.
okay, that'll work. i don't mind destroying my installation every once in
awhile (probably a lot until i get used to it...)

I've done that, and I wouldn't do it again. Various things will break
in surprising ways.
