cygwin's tha poop!  i use it at work to talk to my firewall (although now i
can administer it from my home computer...)

it has a serious package list as well and, although i haven't tried it yet,
it can apparently run X under windoze.

I just ripped a CD on my windows machine (it's the only one with a CD
at the moment) and was wondering how I was going to get those mp3s
onto my linux box without having to install samba or ftp, etc.

I remembered I had Cygwin on the windows computer and wondered if I
could just scp them over.  Sure enough, easy as pie.  So nice to have
powerful command line tools on a windo~1 computer.  :)
