Well, it kinda has both (3.3.6 servers & 4.1.0 server + all the libraries
and other programs are from 4.1.0, except XF86Setup, which only supports
3.3.6 servers).  Just depends what setup util you use.  XF86Setup &
xf86config3 for 3.3.6 servers; xf86cfg (--textmode suggested) and
xf86config for 4.1.0.  This is explained in /usr/X11R6/README.   

If you have no need for 3.3.6 servers, just set NEED_XC_OLD=no, and
rebuild X (then delete the old servers; saves a lot of disk space).
