Looks interesting. The review mentions that Conectiva uses synaptic (aka raptor) in place of dselect and, I noticed that, the conectiva site says that synaptic can be built to handle debs. I wonder how well synaptic handles the Debian "recommends" package tag. If synaptic is a real replacement for dselect, it could be a boon to Debian users who prefer GUI tools. Has anyone here had any experience with synaptic and how it deals with package conflict resolution, etc.?
