I just got this from the CUPS ml. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Till Kamppeter) X-Newsgroups: cups.general Subject: Re: [CUPS] Epson Stylus Color and margin setting Date: 16 Nov 2001 13:34:55 -0500 Organization: Easy Software Products News Precedence: bulk Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I highly recommend Open Office as free office solution, the current build 638C prints perfectly. The only thing missing is a printer config tool for it. So you have to do the printer configuration manually. To know how, go to http://www.linuxprinting.org/cups-doc.html If you use a native CUPS driver of GIMP-Print, use the CUPS PPD file (in this case Foomatic PPD files will not work, the Foomatic PPD files are only for GhostScript drivers). See http://mandrakeforum.com/article.php?sid=1254&lang=en to get more fonts and spell-checking. The additional fonts will print perfectly, too. Also GNOME/GTK applications as AbiWord print correctly.
