Special Note:
The October and November SAO Tech Brew pubs are being held on the
2nd Wednesday of each month. Both events are co-sponsored with
the Eugene Entrepreneurs Forum (EEF), and both meetings will have a
  technology focus.

The Software Association of Oregon (SAO) and the Eugene Chamber of
Commerce Eugene Entrepreneurs Forum (EEF) invite you to the October
Tech Brew Pub:

Wednesday, October 10, 5-7 pm
At the Wild Duck in the music venue (6th & Charnelton)
$5 at the door

This networking event brings together entrepreneurs, software and other
information technology professionals, management talent, investors and
business support service providers.

A brief presentation will feature Susan Folden, former General Manager of
Dynamix. Ms. Folden will share how the closure of Dynamix, a leading
software company specializing in video games, has prompted the creation of
several new spin off companies. She will share the challenges Dynamix
faced with changes in technology and a changing market as well as how the
unfortunate closure has an up side--new budding ventures as groups of
former employees create their own companies LOCALLY.

This event is open to the public. There is a $5 charge at the door and
light food/refreshments are included. Micro brews, wine and soft drinks
will be available from a no-host bar. No reservations are necessary.

The Eugene Entrepreneurs Forum is a program of the Eugene Area Chamber of
Commerce. It is dedicated to developing a positive environment for
emerging growth business in the Eugene area.

The Software Association of Oregon is a technology trade association
dedicated to fostering the growth of Oregon's software industry.

Both organizations offer exceptional networking and educational
opportunities, critical workforce development programs, and a wide range
of benefits for companies and individuals.

For additional information about the event, please contact Sarah Olson
(EEF event chair), 688-2574, [EMAIL PROTECTED] or Ian Richardson (SAO
event chair), (541) 686-8833, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
