Ok, I went nuts in the last few hours, surfing/emailing/ircing and I finally found a really nice Calendar that does not only what I wanted, and much more.
http://www.cyberweavers.com/download/cybercalendar.html This RSS output (ie headlines, similar to how we include the mailinglist subjects on the euglug.org website, or slashboxes on slashdot...) This was my MUST have feature. Without, it's a pain to share calendar info with others. The RSS script included only grabs for the current day, but that's an easy perl hack to make it grab for more than that, say the next 10 events.... features include (trimmed to ones I cared about) Receive scheduled event reminders via e-mail. Send events to friends as e-mail messages. Download events in vCalendar format to your personal scheduling software or your handheld device. so all of those will mean that people can easily grab/share/remind events Supports multiple calendar administrators. a must for a wide community calendar... so a number of responsible people can add events. Full WAP and Palm/AvantGo client support. Cell phone and Palm browsing... Support for public event submissions. So anyone can submit an event... and it'll get approved. Fully configurable -- including images and HTML colors. so it'll look nice.. :) Runs as a CGI or as a mod_perl application. 100% Perl application. nice and clean and easy to use and maintain. Rob, you wanna do the honors for now, and run it on www.euglug.org?
